
Sure, a game can receive patches in this day and age but if a game is not ready/is buggy/isn't fun upon release, you've got a developer and publisher handling damage control. There is always that feeling where you want a developer to "hurry up and finish it, already" so you can play it, but once a game is out, it's out. That means that from the time of writing this post, it could potentially be more than a year away from now, in terms of months. If it is 2023 as stated, it could possibly be at the end of next year.
